Municipality Fitness Center and Area Health Systems Partner to Build Community Wellbeing

The CENTRE saw strategic value in establishing a local health system (or provider group) partnership, to synergistically improve community wellbeing as a medical fitness center. Best-in-class medical fitness centers proactively target an at-risk, deconditioned population. Medical fitness programming is a proven membership builder, with most program participants converting to full-time membership upon program completion.

As these connections deepened The CENTRE started following Power Wellness’ proprietary six-step medical fitness implementation process:

A Medical Advisory Committee including members from Phelps Health and Mercy Health was launched in early 2022, followed by implementation of MyFitRx,® Power Wellness’ medically integrated fitness programming. Local provider organizations 4 Rivers and Pathways were also involved. Power Wellness and The CENTRE are currently building out an integration directly into both health providers’ EHR systems, so providers can easily refer patients to The CENTRE. As of September of 2024, The CENTRE successfully attained MFA certification, becoming the first facility in Missouri to do so.

The CENTRE also experienced the following positive impacts since implementing medically integrated fitness:

• 150% Growth in Program Enrollment
• 80% Increase in Patient to Membership Conversion

Power Wellness will continue to support The CENTRE’s medical integration long after MFA Certification is achieved. Together the two organizations will continue to serve the Rolla community with high-quality fitness and wellness solutions, in partnership with local providers.
