CDPHP® Fitness Connect at the Ciccotti Center earns 100% on MFA Recertification

We are pleased to announce that CDPHP® Fitness Connect at the Ciccotti Center scored 100% on its Medical Fitness Association Recertification. The Medical Fitness Association (MFA) is the country’s leading organization dedicated solely to medically integrated wellness and fitness facilities.

Certified medically integrated fitness centers feature the professional expertise and programming necessary to safely and effectively assist people, regardless of their current health status, to develop, initiate, and maintain an active lifestyle that minimizes the risk of illness and disease and promotes health and wellness.

“Achieving the Medical Fitness Facility recertification further emphasizes our focus in providing the highest levels of service and support to our members on their individual fitness journeys,” says Scott Bergen, Director of CDPHP® Fitness Connect at the Ciccotti Center. “We are proud of this accomplishment to be one of a small fraternity of other facilities to be recognized and committed to excellence in wellness programming.” 

CDPHP® is a physician-founded and guided health plan, CDPHP and its affiliates currently serve members in 24 counties throughout New York with a full family of products.  In October of 2021 CDPHP teamed up with Colonie Youth Center to create what is now known as CDPHP® Fitness Connect at the Ciccotti Center.

CDPHP® president and CEO, Dr. John Bennett, says the partnership will improve access to affordable health and wellness programs for CDPHP® members and the entire Albany community. This recertification further establishes that CDPHP® Fitness Connect at the Ciccotti Center is on track to continue to positively impact population health in Albany.
