Differentiating Ancillary Revenues to Improve Special Population Programming and Outcomes

January 26, 2022

Medical fitness centers often limit ancillary services to traditional health club offerings, such as personal training and massage therapy. While these services positively impact the overall member experience and center revenues, there are other offerings that may be needed by community members and their providers. Power Wellness has developed a catalog of over 30 Special Population programs for individuals afflicted with conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis and Osteoporosis, to name a few. These programs are not typically offered by commercial fitness centers but are needed by so many deconditioned members of the community.

Properly promoted, many participants will join as full-time members to continue program participation or expand their fitness pursuit for a lifestyle change. Many of these programs require advanced training or special certification, providing opportunities for fitness staff to expand their knowledge and career opportunities.
