Board Manager - CEO

Ken founded Power in 1996 and has over 25 years of healthcare development and operational experience.

Ken’s experience includes the planning, development and operation of institutional fitness centers throughout the Midwest: including community colleges, universities and hospitals.

Ken is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business with a B.S. in Finance.

Ken currently serves on the board of Elgin Academy and WINGS (Women in Need Growing Stronger).

John joined Power in 2004, bringing 16 years of experience in technology, rapid company growth, and knowledge of global acquisitions and consolidations.

John has cultivated a well-rounded team to support daily operations and implement new technologies to support expansion.

His expertise in the areas of construction, design and development, environmental systems, information systems, audiovisual and communications architecture add prudent high-value results in responding to customer needs.

John is a Microsoft certified systems engineer and a Microsoft certified professional.

Nancy has a proven track record of innovative and dynamic leadership in establishing, developing, growing and operating private and public healthcare information technology companies.

Currently, Nancy is Board Chair of WebPT, one of the 100 largest companies in healthcare IT. Prior to serving as WebPT’s CEO, Nancy was CEO of Healthagen Population Health Solutions, an Aetna company. In this role she led a suite of acquired and created technology businesses. Before joining Healthagen, Nancy led a variety of public and private HIT businesses, including MedVentive, a provider of performance analytics for ACOs and payers; Sentillion, an innovator in identity and access management solutions; ProxyMed, a medical claims clearinghouse; and Healtheon/WebMD.

Nancy’s companies have been recognized for excellence and innovation, including Best in KLAS, Gartner Cool Company, Gartner Magic Quadrant Visionary and the Microsoft Healthcare User Group Award for Interoperability. On a personal level she has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Healthcare Technology CEOs of 2021, Top 25 Women Leaders in P/E Backed SaaS (2020) and as an Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, Mountain Region (2020).

Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University and a master’s in International Business Studies (MIBS) from the University of South Carolina.

Nancy lives in Park City, UT with her husband Ken. They enjoy being outdoors in all four season.

Alvin L. (“Al”) is one of the company’s founding Board Managers and Chairman Emeritus. Al is Chairman of Power Construction Company, Chicago’s largest construction manager and general contractor with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.

Al joined Power Construction in 1962 and was responsible for company operations until 1991. During that time he has been involved with the construction of the city’s largest residential, institutional, commercial and healthcare projects.

Maintaining in himself and his organizations the highest standards of ethics and integrity, Al has held many well-respected positions in the educational and medical communities. These include positions on the Illinois Institute of Technology Board of Trustees, President’s Advisory Council for the Loyola University Medical Center, Advocate Health Care Foundation, and Illinois Institute of Technology Stuart School of Management Board of Overseers.

Al graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance. Al lives in Mundelein, IL with his wife, Nancy and enjoys playing golf and sailing.

Board Manager

James M. (“Jim”) Hussey is one of the company’s founding Board Managers. Jim has been a President and/or CEO of various pharmaceutical, biotech, health care and advanced technology related companies since 1995. Jim is currently Special Advisor to the Chairman and Acting US President at MorphoSys AG.

Jim previously served as CEO, President or Founder at Physicians Quality Care, NeoPharm Pharmaceuticals, NanoInk, Sagent Pharmaceuticals, and Athenex Pharmaceuticals.In addition to Power Wellness, Jim has served on many different Board of Directors both as CEO/President or as an Independent Director, including Option Care, Symbria and Vidasym. He has been an angel investor for biotech and served as an advisor to many biotech and health care startups.

Jim graduated from Pharmacy School at Butler University and received his M.B.A. from University of Illinois at Chicago. Jim lives in Long Grove, IL with his wife, Cheryl, and two children and enjoys playing golf and supporting his church.

Troy represents Gorman Family Holdings, the company’s majority shareholder, as a Board Manager. Troy was born in Panama and grew up in Indiana. He developed a love of horses at a young age which brought him to the Chicago area in 1990 where he met Laura Gorman in 1994 and married in 1995.

In 1995, Troy brought his knowledge of horses to the Gorman family show stable known as “Woodrun", where he and Laura continued a very successful show career with many National and International Championships and accomplishments.

In 2007, Troy created the “No Camper Left Behind Fund” which allows children, who otherwise could not afford it, to attend the YMCA summer camp in Lafayette IN in memory of his father. Each year roughly 30 children attend a one-week session of camp where they create new friendships, new memories, and experience activities they would most likely never get to do. Troy’s father had a motto that “every child should be able to go to camp” and this fund helps fulfill that motto.

Troy lives with his wife, Laura, and son in Ocala, FL. He enjoys racing cars, raising dogs and drinking Mountain Dew.

Brian joined Power in 1997 and has over 24 years of planning, information technology, development and operations experience. Reporting to Brian are department leaders in the areas of information technology, operations, finance, purchasing, and human resources.

Prior to joining Power, Brian worked for a top Chicago accounting firm as an audit manager.

Brian is a member of the Medical Fitness Association, International Health & Racquet Sports Association, the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Brian and his team ensure that every aspect of design, development, and operations management meet our client expectations.

Brian graduated with honors with a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and is a certified public accountant.
