Power Wellness Opens Mercy Fitness Center

Edmond, OK: July 21, 2014

On May 31, 2014, Power Wellness opened Mercy Fitness Center a new medically integrated center in Edmond, OK. The Mercy Fitness Center is a 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, which will play an important role in improving the fitness and health of the local community.

Mercy Fitness Center is now Power Wellness’ twenty-second facility it manages. Opening was delayed a year due to damage from a tornado during the construction phase. “We are very proud of everyone’s hard work and dedication to getting the Mercy Fitness Center operational. We had some unfortunate delays with this project, but persevered in order to deliver an amazing facility.” said Tom Rhind, President of Power Wellness.

The center features exceptional facilities and equipment, including:

• Spacious workout areas and fitness studios
• Elliptical machines, treadmills, bikes and other cardiovascular machines
• Modern circuit and free-weight training equipment
• Indoor walking/jogging track
• A lap pool, warm water therapy pool and whirlpool
• Massage therapy
• Full-service men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, saunas and steam rooms

Everyone who joins will receive a fitness assessment and personalized exercise plan to help them get started. A comprehensive range of programing will be offered, such as: group exercise and aquatics classes, indoor cycling, personal training, special exercise programs for weight loss and cardiac and orthopedic conditions, massage therapy, and child care.

The center is staffed with Power Wellness employees that are degreed and certified personal trainers, fitness instructors, and other team members dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
